Biography
Dr. Yogesh A. Sontakke is an Additional Professor at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, India. His research focuses on forensic pathology and the application of histopathological and immunohistochemical techniques to medico-legal investigations. Dr. Sontakke's most-cited work, "Predictive accuracy of histopathological profile and immunohistochemical markers for the aging of abrasion: an autopsy-based study," published in 2023, addresses critical methodological challenges in determining the timing of injuries through autopsy-based analysis. His contributions advance the scientific foundations of forensic medicine and evidence-based practice in pathology.
